Attorney General for Northern Ireland announces Trainee Solicitor Scheme [Re-advertisement]

The Attorney General today announced a revision to the advertised trainee solicitor scheme within his office.

The Attorney General for Northern Ireland is offering a solicitor traineeship. In order to be considered for this training opportunity, applicants must hold an offer from the Institute of Professional Legal studies; and demonstrate the potential to be an effective peer mentor to young people in situations of economic and social disadvantage. The successful candidate will be contracted to undertake a 2 year traineeship within the Office of the Attorney General for Northern Ireland beginning in September 2018.

The Attorney General said that the traineeship would provide an opportunity for one student to work at: “…the cross roads where law, fundamental rights, public policy and government meet.”
